On behalf of the pupils, parents, and our dedicated team, welcome to Creswell Infant and Nursery School. Our vision is to be the school of choice for our local community, where every child is nurtured, a love of learning is ignited, and each child is encouraged to SHINE.

I am both privileged and excited to be the newly appointed Headteacher at Creswell Infant and Nursery School and it is my duty to ensure that we are dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for each and every one of our children. We want all our children to recognise that our school is an extension of their ‘family’. As a Church of England Voluntary Controlled (VC) school, we have a partnership with our local village church of St. Mary Magdalene and the Diocese of Derby, aligning with their vision that all children of all faiths, as well of those of no faith, should experience '…life in all its fullness' (John 10:10) and shine academically and spiritually. Our christian 'family' community is enhanced by our school nursery, an on-site Children Centre, and Early Birds Pre-School Nursery. 

We recognise each child is a child of God and is unique; we are proud to be a school dedicated to nurturing and supporting all children, regardless of their individual needs, where every child can SHINE and achieve their potential.

At Creswell Infant and Nursery School, our ambition is to develop resilient and curious learners who are inspired to achieve their aspirations. Through engaging experiences, Creswell Infants is developing a challenging and inclusive curriculum, inspiring them to ‘..let their light shine’ (Matthew 5:16): this is known as our ‘Shine’ Curriculum.

As headteacher, I am committed to providing the best learning opportunities for all our children and nurturing the very best in all who join our family.
