Our Curriculum has been designed to provide stimulating, exciting and memorable learning experiences for our children which builds upon their existing knowledge and encourages investigation, exploration and questioning. We ensure that our curriculum relates to the locality and heritage of our children whilst broadening their horizons and encouraging them to aim far and high. We encourage children to live by Christian values and make good moral judgements in all that they do.
You can find out more about the intent, implementation and impact of our curriculum in the curriculum statement below.
Curriculum Statement
Our curriculum is plotted onto Long Term plans linked to termly topics. These Long Term plans form the basis of weekly planning and are subject to change in line with national / local events and children's interests. Long Term Plans for each year group can be found below.
At Creswell C of E Infant and Nursery School, we recognise that children learn best when curriculum subjects are taught progressively and consistently well across school, with adaptations made to ensure that the needs of all children are met.
To support staff, including supply staff and those who are new to the school, each subject leader has developed documents which provides everyone with everything they need to know for their subject. On the subject pages below, you will find subject curriculum statements, progression grids, 'Teaching on a page' and SEND adaptations.
We also hope that these documents will support parents/carers to understand more about their child's learning.
