Our Nursery

Welcome to Creswell C of E Nursery....

At Creswell Infant and Nursery School we believe nursery is the continuation of a child’s learning journey, which started the moment they were born.

Our nurturing nursery environment is designed to support the holistic development of each child, fostering a love for learning through play and exploration.

We offer a rich curriculum that encourages curiosity and creativity, ensuring that children are engaged in meaningful activities (indoors and outdoors) that promote their growth and development.

Register Your Interest

We encourage parents to complete an application form for a nursery place as soon as possible.    We use a waiting list to allocate our places, using the date of application.     Our places are limited and morning or afternoon sessions are subject to availability.

When your child is ready to join us, we will contact you to offer a place.   We will also visit you at home, to begin our home to school partnership, get to know your child, and welcome you to school.  Before your child's start date, we will offer stay and play sessions to support your child's transition from home to nursery, building trust and relationships with our team.     Our stay and play sessions are a great way for parents to ask questions, gather information, and for children to meet and make friends.

Early Years Entitlement

We offer families 15 hours nursery entitlement funding.    For more information about the government 30 hour childcare funding, please take a look at Childcare Choices.    We work in partnership with Early Birds Nursery, who are located on our site, and offer the additional 30 hour funding places to eligible families.  Together we provide full wraparound care to ensure families have the support they need.

Children start our nursery the term after their third birthday (September, January and April – subject to the availability of spaces).  Our 15 hour places can be accessed as either 5 morning sessions (8:30 AM - 11:30 AM) or 5 afternoon sessions (12:30 PM - 3:30 PM).

With a focus on building strong foundations in learning, we prepare our young learners for a successful transition into full time school (Foundation 2).
