Online or E-Safety refers to the internet and other technologies that children use to communicate via electronic media, such as smartphones, tablets, and gaming consoles. Online safety is about protecting children from harm while teaching and supporting them to benefit from new and evolving technologies, all while minimising risks to themselves and others.
The aim of our e-safety programme is to safeguard children from adverse consequences that may arise from their use of electronic communication. This includes preventing exposure to inappropriate content, harmful material, bullying, inappropriate sexualised behaviour, or exploitation.
In a world where the internet is readily accessible at their fingertips, it is vital to protect children from potential risks. It is our collective responsibility to equip them with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions when online and to encourage them to report situations or content that may be harmful or concerning.
Below, you will find links to websites, PDFs, and other documents used in school to teach e-safety/online safety programme. This programme forms an integral part of our Child Protection and Safeguarding efforts.
